Ship's damaged, ain't much of a market here, still shitty dragons everywhere. We've been told they ain't all that dangerous, though. Ha, yeah, tell that to Franky, damn things nearly took down the whole mast and our sails look like shit. But there's a lot of ships in the harbor, so at least we know they've got the means to fix this.

Apparently this island is called Berk. Shitty name. The people here—

...

Are they riding the—? What the hell. ...Back in a bit, gonna go take a closer look.

Well, it's an important specification.

[identity profile] deadgirldropout.livejournal.com 2010-04-24 05:29 am (UTC)(link)
Most people wouldn't think to make that particular specification.

[identity profile] black-hat-cat.livejournal.com 2010-04-24 05:31 am (UTC)(link)
Most people don't know that you like being hurt sometimes.

[identity profile] black-hat-cat.livejournal.com 2010-04-24 05:37 am (UTC)(link)
...

Oh, this is his journal, isn't it.

[identity profile] deadgirldropout.livejournal.com 2010-04-24 05:59 am (UTC)(link)
...it's fine. I just. Think that he probably didn't particularly want to know that.

[identity profile] black-hat-cat.livejournal.com 2010-04-24 06:02 am (UTC)(link)
Right. Well.

Are the dragons following you around too?

[identity profile] deadgirldropout.livejournal.com 2010-04-24 06:31 am (UTC)(link)
...I do appreciate the sentiment, though. Do you want to see my scars before the disappear completely?

Yeah, just one of the little ones.

[identity profile] black-hat-cat.livejournal.com 2010-04-24 07:04 am (UTC)(link)
Yes. They're on your back, right? Do they make a pattern?

I seem to have acquired a flock.

[identity profile] deadgirldropout.livejournal.com 2010-04-24 07:10 am (UTC)(link)
Back and shoulder, yeah. I can't really see them, you can look, though?

Hahaha adorable.

[identity profile] black-hat-cat.livejournal.com 2010-04-24 07:37 am (UTC)(link)
Absolutely.

It's more obnoxious than anything. One of them has evidently fallen in love with me and keeps trying to sit on my shoulder. Hattori was fine, if a little annoyed with them before that - now he seems to have sworn vengeance on their entire species.

[identity profile] deadgirldropout.livejournal.com 2010-04-24 07:39 am (UTC)(link)
So?

Hahaha! Fallen in love with you? Have you gone leopard on them yet?

[identity profile] black-hat-cat.livejournal.com 2010-04-24 07:46 am (UTC)(link)
It doesn't look like any concrete image, really, but it's an interesting abstract pattern. If you were going to scar permanently, I think it would be a nice one to have.

It keeps rubbing against me and making affectionate warbling noises and trying to chew on my hair. Not to mention attempting to duel Hattori for rights to my attention. Or just eat him; I'm not sure which, but the result is the same.

...I haven't, actually. Perhaps I will and see what happens.

[identity profile] deadgirldropout.livejournal.com 2010-04-24 07:49 am (UTC)(link)
I almost wish I could. It does look kind of cool, huh? And it would be a really cool story to tell. Dragons.

...hahaha. Are you trying to get rid of it or are you making friends?

Can I watch?

[identity profile] black-hat-cat.livejournal.com 2010-04-24 08:03 am (UTC)(link)
You can still tell the story. Who wouldn't believe you, really? It's the Grand Line. And you could always keep the clothes they ruined to prove it, I suppose.

I don't want it to hurt Hattori, but I also don't want to kick it and risk the entire island shunning our crew. I'm not entirely sure what to do.

Of course.

[identity profile] deadgirldropout.livejournal.com 2010-04-24 08:08 am (UTC)(link)
This is true. But still. I don't really have and scars at all. Maybe a few little ones from when I was a kid, but. Not even a little one from having my fucking arm ripped off. It almost seems unfair.

Well if you scare it off as a leopard they can't really say anything, can they?

Awesome. Thanks.

[identity profile] black-hat-cat.livejournal.com 2010-04-24 08:43 am (UTC)(link)
I don't know; on one hand, it is unfortunate, but on the other, it does sort of add to your image as an otherwordly harbinger of death, don't you think?

This is true.

No problem.

[identity profile] deadgirldropout.livejournal.com 2010-04-24 08:45 am (UTC)(link)
I don't really care about my image.

So there you go.

Can I pet you?

[identity profile] black-hat-cat.livejournal.com 2010-04-24 08:49 am (UTC)(link)
It is a rather imposing one, whether or not you care about it.

Indeed.

If you want.

[identity profile] deadgirldropout.livejournal.com 2010-04-24 08:51 am (UTC)(link)
Only if they know what I am. Which they usually don't. And by "they" I mean the general public.

So did it work?

I do.

[identity profile] black-hat-cat.livejournal.com 2010-04-24 08:56 am (UTC)(link)
You could start wearing a hood everywhere.

...Well, to an extent.

Then you may.

[identity profile] deadgirldropout.livejournal.com 2010-04-24 08:59 am (UTC)(link)
I don't think people's minds would automatically go to "grim reaper" if I wore a hood. Plus, when I'm working, it's better if people don't know what I am.

What does that mean?

Thank you.

[identity profile] black-hat-cat.livejournal.com 2010-04-24 09:01 am (UTC)(link)
That is true. But you certainly intimidate the Marines, at least.

It means that when I turn into a leopard, the dragons don't seem to realize what's happened, and as soon as I turn back it's as though I've rematerialized from thin air and they swarm me again.

You're welcome.
