I thought strip poker was entertaining. But other than that, I agree.

I hope you don't mind if I'm not in the mood for anything particularly exciting. Between doing what training I can like this and not being able to sleep much, I'd rather just sit around for the time being.

Nah, fishing's fine, really! Even if Sanji doesn't NEED fish right now...though I wouldn't be too surprised if we were getting kinda low, since I usually go fishing every couple days at least, and obviously I haven't in the last couple weeks. I wonder if Luffy caught anything.

Overall, the point is to have fun. This is accomplished in two ways: watching people embarrass themselves, and getting to see people in various states of undress. Taking away the people you might actually be attracted to removes both the awkwardness and the entertainment from the situation. Why did you think people played it?
