Jesus fuck, I feel like I should just record myself and put it on repeat - HE'S A BIRD. I think I waved my hand and said "shoo!" or "get the hell out of here!" or something similar and he didn't listen. I didn't ASK him anything.

He can type. Perhaps you ought to credit him with slightly more intelligence than the phrase "he's a bird" implies. Wouldn't you be annoyed if someone waved their hand at you and shooed you? I would.
