PARTY PARTY!!

I now present to you...

THE AWESOME BIRTHDAY PARTY LOG OF BIRTHDAY AWESOMENESS~

What started out as a ~SURPRISE~ joint birthday party for Usopp and Tamaki has since exploded to include Luffy, Mori, and EVERYONE ELSE WHO HAS A BIRTHDAY IN APRIL AND MAY!! Welcome to the Straw Hat Crew and Company's ships, the Thousand Sunny and the S.S. Haruhi the Second! The party spans both of them and the decorations are designed to reflect the season. Enjoy the beautiful sakura trees that grace each ship's decks, spend time beneath the lanterns and twinkling lights, and come dressed in your best yukata!

There's a banquet fit for a king - or several kings, this is Luffy's party, too, after all - and don't ask how it got there because Sanji still can't cook properly, BUT ENJOY THE FOOD ANYWAY. The dessert table is a sight to behold, there's gotta be at least fifteen cakes on that thing...

So eat, drink, be merry, and most importantly, HAVE FUN!!!

But I wouldn't have let you put it on. *reaches into his yukata, pulling out a ring box from some MAGIC POCKET or something* Just needed it for the whole 'down-on-one-knee' thing.

*flushes slightly, rubbing the back of his neck* I ruined it?

*grins* You didn't ruin anything - you said yes.

What did you think I'd say? *tightens his arms back around Sanji*

...I knew you'd say yes. *shifts his eyes away* Wouldn't have blamed you if you'd said no, though.

*clears his throat quickly, pushing at Zoro's chest* Here, back up, lemme do the other thing.

I wouldn'tve. *steps back a bit*

*hops off the railing* I know. *straightens out his yukata, brushing off the nonexistent dust, and clears his throat again*

*then shoots Zoro a grin before slowly lowering himself to one knee*

*turns slightly pink, looking around to see if anyone else is there* *rubs the back of his neck nervously, waiting for Sanji to say something first*

*blushes a bit himself, mostly because Zoro is, and takes another breath to steel himself* Okay. *looks up at Zoro* Marimo. You...are pretty much the biggest idiot I know.

*lowers his brows giving a concerned look while letting out a quick breath through his nose in warning*

*grins at the look, continuing* Yeah, you’re a lazy, good-for-nothing, sword-obsessed, shit-for-brains dumbass. And... *pauses, turning a deeper red* And I love you.

Zoro, I will always love you. You’re a fucking stubborn bastard and I - I couldn’t be more grateful for it, because you never gave up on me. There’s no one else I want to be with, and that’s never going to change because I’m so goddamn happy being with you. *laughs faintly, still flushed and smiling* I want to wake up every morning to your stupid snoring face, and I want to fall asleep every night with your arms around me. And even though you’re a guy...I don’t care. I love you even more for it. You’re exactly what I want, and--

*stops abruptly, feeling a little stupidly emotional and wondering if he sounds like a complete and total idiot yet* ...And I want to be with you forever. So... *swallows, flipping open the ring box and holding it up, showing off Zoro’s finished, engraved ring inside* Roronoa Zoro... Will you marry me?

*turns increasingly red throughout Sanji's speech, staring at the person kneeling before him wide-eyed* *opens his mouth to speak but only finds a dry throat and soundless air passing from his lips, so instead he shuts his mouth and makes a labored grunt and a nod, making his face turn even more red at how pathetic he sounds*

*takes one of his wrists gently, pulling for him to stand* Sanji... *clears his throat briefly, then speaks quietly* 'Course I will you stupid idiot.

*lets Zoro pull him to his feet, then practically launches himself at the other man, chest pressed up against his and arms looping around him* *grins against neck, voice muffled when he speaks* Had your answer already but that was still fucking worth it. Finally. *pulls back to rest his forehead against Zoro’s, releasing a huge breath* Been trying to do that for weeks.

*has to take a step back with one foot to brace against Sanji's pounce* *huge grin now plastered to his face he presses his lips forward for a short kiss* Gonna let me put it on or what?

Hell no! *snaps the ring box shut, pulling back a bit so he can tuck it away in his yukata again* You can put it on in July – it was just a prop today.

*grunts with a pout* I'll let you put yours on...

Mmhm. *reaches into his yukata and pulls out a small box, secretly concealed from Sanji before when Zoro was changing*

*sort of speechless* You - why?? *brings his out again, too*

...Always? *makes a jerky hand movement like he was gonna reach for Zoro, then changes halfway and rubs the back of his neck awkwardly instead* If you show me now, we won't have anything for the wedding.

You already showed me yours. Its only fair. *flicks open the lid before Sanji can say anything else, revealing an engraved ring, with two added inlay stripes on the front, one green and one yellow*

*just stares at it, face going pink again, and can't keep his lips from twitching up into a slight smile* You one-upped me.
