Alright, people, since our numbers on Sunny can't seem to stop going up, I thought I'd update my lists a little.

Anyone allergic to shit I should know about? Favorite foods, things you're not a fan of...anything I should know, feel free to tell me! Especially if you're gonna be hanging around for awhile~

[identity profile] needs-a-plan.livejournal.com 2010-03-01 05:51 am (UTC)(link)
Uh...I like paella. And cocido. And...most seafood, squid especially...anything with snails in it...lamb... I'm not a huge fan of all this stuff you make with, what, six cups of sugar in it, but I'm not going to turn down food.

[identity profile] serving-love.livejournal.com 2010-03-01 05:54 am (UTC)(link)
Well it's not like I make that stuff for you. It's mainly for the girls! Minus Robin-chan sometimes and add Usopp. And Luffy, because he's practically a garbage disposal.

It's good you like seafood, though. In case you haven't noticed yet, we have a lot of that.

[identity profile] needs-a-plan.livejournal.com 2010-03-01 06:56 am (UTC)(link)
...Then why are you asking?

Yeah, I noticed. Being on a boat. They kind of go hand in hand.

[identity profile] serving-love.livejournal.com 2010-03-01 07:03 am (UTC)(link)
So I can update my lists! I'll stick you under the No Dessert column.

Little bit, yeah.

[identity profile] needs-a-plan.livejournal.com 2010-03-01 07:12 am (UTC)(link)
I have nothing against dessert, it's just - everything has too much sugar in it! We barely had sugar where I come from. Where do you even get it?

At least it means you never really run out of food, as long as there's bait.

[identity profile] serving-love.livejournal.com 2010-03-01 07:31 am (UTC)(link)
From markets and stores when we stock up at islands. They have giant bags of it, kind of like flour. It wasn't common in your world??

And as long as you don't hit a stretch of ocean where there are no goddamn fish. That's happened before.

[identity profile] needs-a-plan.livejournal.com 2010-03-01 07:46 am (UTC)(link)
There was some; just not much. Well, rich people can get it pretty easily. Actually, Miguel and I were almost slaves on a sugar plantation once.

It has? ...I thought fish lived everywhere in the ocean. It's not like there are land laws in the water.

[identity profile] serving-love.livejournal.com 2010-03-01 08:12 am (UTC)(link)
...I want to hear this story.

You forget this is the Grand Line. Weirder shit has happened. Or maybe they were there and just not biting for too long to be considered normal, who knows.

[identity profile] needs-a-plan.livejournal.com 2010-03-01 08:25 am (UTC)(link)
Well, you know Hernán Cortés. ...No you don't. Right. Okay, so, Hernán Cortés. He was a conquistador, an adventurer and conqueror, where I came from. He was sailing to the New World, and Miguel and I ended up on his ship by accident after making a tactical retreat from some sailors who were upset with us over a complete misunderstanding. Long story short, he caught us and put us in stocks and...let me try to remember exactly what he said, because I have to admit the man can make a speech: "My crew was as carefully chosen as the Disciples of Christ, and I will not tolerate stowaways. You will be flogged. And when we put in to Cuba to resupply, God willing, you will be flogged some more, and then enslaved on the sugar plantations for the rest of your miserable lives."

And then he had us thrown in the brig.

Have you ever been flogged?

[identity profile] serving-love.livejournal.com 2010-03-01 08:41 am (UTC)(link)
...You do find ways to get yourself in trouble, don't you.

I've definitely never been...flogged.

[identity profile] needs-a-plan.livejournal.com 2010-03-01 08:44 am (UTC)(link)
I prefer to think that it finds me.

Okay, well, for future reference, I would strongly recommend against it.

[identity profile] serving-love.livejournal.com 2010-03-01 09:03 am (UTC)(link)
Ha, guess that works, too. Tends to happen to us, so I know how that goes.

Yeeeah, I'll keep that in mind. Pretty sure there are an infinite about of things I'd rather be doing than that.

[identity profile] needs-a-plan.livejournal.com 2010-03-01 09:08 am (UTC)(link)
It's been finding me slightly less. Miguel's always been kind of a bad luck charm that way.

Yeah, I've had some bad things happen to me, but that was one of the worst.

[identity profile] serving-love.livejournal.com 2010-03-01 02:08 pm (UTC)(link)
Mm... Still no sign of him, huh?

I went without food for almost three months once.

[identity profile] needs-a-plan.livejournal.com 2010-03-01 08:12 pm (UTC)(link)
...No.

Jesus Christ. Okay, you win, the most I've done was maybe a week and a half. How did you...I mean, what happened?

[identity profile] serving-love.livejournal.com 2010-03-01 08:27 pm (UTC)(link)
I'm sorry.

Oi, I wasn't trying to win, I was just—well, whatever. I was...shipwrecked. Basically. Probably would've drowned, but...I was pulled out of the water and we ended up on some uninhabitable spit of rock.

...It wasn't actually three months, and I had some food in the beginning. Ish. About five day's worth.

[identity profile] serving-love.livejournal.com 2010-03-01 08:38 pm (UTC)(link)
Eh, I was just a kid. About nine, I think.

[identity profile] needs-a-plan.livejournal.com 2010-03-01 08:51 pm (UTC)(link)
...Damn. That's-- er. I'm...sorry.

You got shipwrecked with someone else? ...Did they make it?

[identity profile] serving-love.livejournal.com 2010-03-01 08:58 pm (UTC)(link)
It was a long time ago.

Yeah, this other pirate captain. Zeff. He, uh...well he basically raised me. After that. We had a restaurant.

[identity profile] needs-a-plan.livejournal.com 2010-03-01 09:49 pm (UTC)(link)
Yeah. Still.

Oh. Well...that's good. That you both made it and everything.

[identity profile] serving-love.livejournal.com 2010-03-01 11:23 pm (UTC)(link)
Mm. He gave me all the food. Ate his own leg to survive.

Our restaurant was fucking awesome, though.

[identity profile] needs-a-plan.livejournal.com 2010-03-02 12:06 am (UTC)(link)
Oh. What? ...OH. Oh my god.

I don't think I'd ever eat there after hearing that.

[identity profile] serving-love.livejournal.com 2010-03-02 12:26 am (UTC)(link)
Hey, he did what he had to! That doesn't have anything to do with the food we served.

[identity profile] needs-a-plan.livejournal.com 2010-03-02 12:29 am (UTC)(link)
I don't care! I couldn't eat there without thinking of that! In fact, I don't think I'm going to be able to eat AT ALL for a couple days...
