I now present to you...

THE AWESOME BIRTHDAY PARTY LOG OF BIRTHDAY AWESOMENESS~

What started out as a ~SURPRISE~ joint birthday party for Usopp and Tamaki has since exploded to include Luffy, Mori, and EVERYONE ELSE WHO HAS A BIRTHDAY IN APRIL AND MAY!! Welcome to the Straw Hat Crew and Company's ships, the Thousand Sunny and the S.S. Haruhi the Second! The party spans both of them and the decorations are designed to reflect the season. Enjoy the beautiful sakura trees that grace each ship's decks, spend time beneath the lanterns and twinkling lights, and come dressed in your best yukata!

There's a banquet fit for a king - or several kings, this is Luffy's party, too, after all - and don't ask how it got there because Sanji still can't cook properly, BUT ENJOY THE FOOD ANYWAY. The dessert table is a sight to behold, there's gotta be at least fifteen cakes on that thing...

So eat, drink, be merry, and most importantly, HAVE FUN!!!

Yamamoto gazes at the tropical fish adorning the tank with their bright scales. There are several silver fish worked into the pattern of a waterfall on his blue yukata, and the bright thread catches light just like the fish in the tanks.

Reborn is sitting on one of the seats laid out in front of the fish tank, sipping at a glass of wine. His yukata is, well, black, with silver accents, and a wide orange obi. He does not have Leon, but his fedora is still on his head...

Yamamoto glanced back and his smile widened as his eyes fell upon the formidable man he'd come to know as Tsuna's tutor and so much more. "Hello there, Reborn!" he closed the distance between the two and took the seat next to the man in the black yukata.

"Yamamoto." Reborn said easily, his expression pleased. "Did you have a pleasant birthday?"

"... Birthday?" Yamamoto blinked cluelessly, his expression momentarily one of complete confusion, before comprehension flooded onto his face, "Th-That's right! My birthday is on the twenty-fourth! I'd completely forgotten!" He laughed, "Thanks for asking! It was.... great?" The young rain guardian paused, "Sort of... although I didn't remember. I was too worried about getting my baseball skills back at the time, I think." He grinned.

"I can imagine," he said, with a soft chuckle of his own. "Have you gotten them back then?"

"I sure have!" Yamamoto said with his wide smile growing even further. It faded slightly as he observed Reborn, "Did you lose anything?"

"Leon," he said, just a bit shortly. And the pacifier, but the loss of Leon was far more telling for him.

"... No!" Yamamoto's eyes filled with empathy and concern. He placed a hand on Reborn's shoulder. "I'll help you find him, Reborn. I promise."

If anything, his expression seemed to soften a bit, "Thank you, Yamamoto," before he was back to his usual, imperturbable self. "How are you enjoying the party so far?"

"Very much so," Yamamoto grinned and let his hand slip off of Reborn's shoulder. "I got to dance with a queen! Can you believe it? I'm so honored!" He leaned back in the chair, "And yourself?"

It figured; Yamamoto could be ridiculously charming without even trying. "No such exalted company for me, I'm afraid," he said just a bit self-deprecatingly, though with a faint, genuine smile. "Just a revolutionary, a nun, and a candidate for Pirate King."

Yamamoto caught Reborn's subtle and refined expressions. "You must mean Rosette, Luffy and... a revolutionary I don't believe I've met," he replied cheerfully.

"Dragon, actually," he explained; "Luffy's father." And then, changing the subject, "and of course, I spent some time with Nanami, Bianchi and Gokudera."

Yamamoto's smile faltered ever so slightly, "Is she still looking for me? I unintentionally insulted her when trying to explain something to Gokudera and now she wants to make me a multi-course dinner..."

"She didn't exactly mention you, but I'm afraid I wouldn't be the best test of that." Because Bianchi tended not to mention anything else when he was around. "How did you manage that?"

"Well, I was trying to explain to Gokudera that sometimes creatures can make mistakes and eat things that look good, but are bad for them. I used Bianchi's cooking as an example and said that although sometimes Bianchi's cooking can look wonderful, but that on the inside, it's still poisonous," Yamamoto explained, thinking back to his defense of the poisoned seagulls falling from the sky. "She got offended by the 'sometimes' in that sentence."

"It's usually not safe to critique a woman's work in that manner," Reborn chuckled. "Even if it is true."

"I don't think I've ever been very good at figuring out what I should and shouldn't say," Yamamoto laughed. "Regardless of whether they're male or female," he added, thinking of all the times Gokudera and Squalo had thrown various objects at him.

"You seem to do well enough," Reborn complimented him. "You're very good at stumbling upon the exact right thing to say; it happens far too often to just be luck." He took a sip of his drink. "Your instinct at work again, I think."

"Maybe, hahaha," Yamamoto grinned, happy to accept the praise. His gaze flickered to Reborn's drink. "... I wonder if they serve milk here," he mused aloud.

"I'm sure you could find some, if you looked," Reborn suggested. "Not all the members of this crew enjoy alcohol."

"Would you like to accompany me to check? We can refill your drink, too," he said cheerfully.

"Hmm. Why not?" Reborn said, and stood up, leading the way over to the bar.

Yamamoto hailed the bartender and ordered himself a glass of milk, then motioned for the bartender to turn his attention to Reborn.
