PARTY PARTY!!

I now present to you...

THE AWESOME BIRTHDAY PARTY LOG OF BIRTHDAY AWESOMENESS~

What started out as a ~SURPRISE~ joint birthday party for Usopp and Tamaki has since exploded to include Luffy, Mori, and EVERYONE ELSE WHO HAS A BIRTHDAY IN APRIL AND MAY!! Welcome to the Straw Hat Crew and Company's ships, the Thousand Sunny and the S.S. Haruhi the Second! The party spans both of them and the decorations are designed to reflect the season. Enjoy the beautiful sakura trees that grace each ship's decks, spend time beneath the lanterns and twinkling lights, and come dressed in your best yukata!

There's a banquet fit for a king - or several kings, this is Luffy's party, too, after all - and don't ask how it got there because Sanji still can't cook properly, BUT ENJOY THE FOOD ANYWAY. The dessert table is a sight to behold, there's gotta be at least fifteen cakes on that thing...

So eat, drink, be merry, and most importantly, HAVE FUN!!!

"I won't hurt the. I need them." And while they weren't still replaceable, so it meant Mello was not let them die just yet.
He looked at the woman for a second, until he smirked; in a sadistic way, actually, but he didn't realize it himself "And why would you help me with that? As far as I know, you are a bounty hunter on your free time."

Fujiko grinned broadly. "Precisely. If I can get certain people's bounties higher..." her eyes twinkled with mischeif. "I'll concede, I'm not going to be turning you in any time soon. What I'm suggesting is a slightly more mutualistic relationship. If my 'information' turns out to be true; then my connections are less likely to question my information on others as well." Reborn had his spies all over the Thousand Sunny to Fujiko's knowledge but luckily this wasn't something she cared about him knowing. It would take a lot to figure out where Fujiko would go with this when she herself was waiting to see whichever one became necessary or most profitable. The risk was that he would purposely try to feed her false information to mess things but that was why Fujiko relied on confirmation.

"You'll still actually have to do things to get your bounty of course," she said dismissively, "But I doubt you'd stop even if you didn't have to."

Mello tilted his head to the side "There is a problem. You see, I don't trust you" Mello grinned. He didn't, he didn't trust many actually, and Fujiko as definitively someone that he always thought twice about her help.

"Why don't you check the information yourself? I mean, Jyabura is - let's say - stronger than myself. He'd be a good reliability, more than I can ever be." at least towards her. Either she wanted to do this by herself, without her boyfriend knowing of it, or she was actually afraid the pup might get hurt.

Fujiko laughed, "What's trust got to do with it? I don't trust anyone, only a fool would trust me." She did trust Jyabura and that was part of the reason she was still scared about him but that remained something she had to see through. "This isn't me asking for your help. This is me shall we say... offering, something. It's not on a silver platter, it's on a string. But since you can see where the string goes it's hardly that dangerous of a bait. You get the fame you crave, I get certain valuable assets for backup. It's more of a... letting you know what I'm up to. You might be finding your name in the papers a bit more often but should you not want that..."

Fuck. If she had misjudged, letting him know was precisely the danger. "It's an offer," she added cautiously again ignoring the part about Jyabura. "I don't want in on your plans, and I don't want to stop them. This is more of a hope that you'll understand I'm not being threatening by any stretch should certain other things happen." This was harder to explain than it should be. "The things that might happen are you getting more fame; something I believe you were striving to do. My concern? That you think I'm trying to hurt you by it. I don't expect you to trust me but I figure if I lay out what I'm trying to get from this, you won't attempt to kill me thinking I want something else." It still wasn't as clear as she meant it to be.

"Yeah, because everything in this world comes free" He used sarcasm now, no longer grinning, smirking or smiling. "What exactly do you want?" He crossed his arms, now serious; things like this meant no more play, no more fun and all it mattered right now was this subject "I may be interested, but as I told you, my trust on you has it's ups and downs. I need not only a good reason why you are willing to offer me this "string", and what do you exactly plan on going with this"

"I get money. In the long run. Not from you," Fujiko fiddled with the cigarette, nervous habit dancing it between fingers while she took a deep breath. "I need certain people to rely on me. To start getting things from me that they can't get from others. That way they know my information is good and I can use that manipulate them in the future and get more money when I turn in people who I purposely pumped up for bounties. Again not you. All I want from you directly is the understanding I'm not going to hurt you by certain 'leaks' showing up places. I'm careful in what I do. They'll be timed just precisely to impress people with speed but from what I've seen you do already, you'll get away unscathed. If you wish to feed me what information you want to give, I'll take it. But of course Mello darling, I hardly trust you either. I have my own methods and if what you say doesn't check out with them I'll be using mine over yours."

Mello sighed and shook his head "Fujiko. You know me so well" Mello leaned against the book shelves looking at the woman. Unlike what she though, he didn't wish just for fame, or a name that referred to him to be in a bounty record. Actually, that was secondary "I want more than you can think of and more than you believe you know. Like you, I also need people to rely on me and to do what I want" why did she think he'd go to those parties? Not because he enjoyed that crap, of course "But unlike you, I don't need to make sure some of you understand that I won't hurt them. Mostly because I actually will hurt them, if necessary."

Mello smirked, approaching her "Are you scared of me?" was she giving him this because she was hoping to have some reason on why Mello shoulnd't hurt her?

Fujiko swallowed nervously. "I know you're after more than fame. I'm just not doing anything with the rest." She backed up, leaning against a bookshelf accidentally. "And you already know Mello, I'm scared of many things. Why should you be excluded?" Just because she primarily killed and hunted mafia men in the past didn't mean they ever stopped scaring her. "I'm not looking to understand everything you want. And if you think you know all that I'm searching for in life? Then you underestimated me. But I'm fine with that." Hell she didn't know everything she wanted from life. She mostly preferred to make it up as it unraveled and get away with what she could. "And yes, I do need you to know I won't hurt you. Because I don't want to get hurt myself. I'm not interfering." Pride was something a girl like her lost a long time ago and admitting she was terrified when it got her in the right direction? Easy enough to do so long as she was sure it wouldn't get hurt her more hurt. And in this case, she suspected Mello preferred her scared of him.

"Hmph" it was actually an amused sound "Very well, I'll buy it. If what you wish to give me is actually good information, I might actually reconsider about how useful you can be." and that usually meant not really minding if Fujiko found out about few things going on. Unless she meddled, but the blond believed she'd avoid that considering everything.

"Ah... good," she replied mouth dry. She needed a good drink. And she had an answer to give Smoker.

"If they stop being useful, send them back, I'll try to keep them out of your hair. Got it?" Too many people killed anyone who wasn't necessary, all too quickly forgetting how many people could be more useful in the future.

"So." Mello sounded less serious now "What is this information you have for me, Fujiko?"

Fujiko reached into her bra pulling out a set of papers she'd recently modified from the files she kept on everyone. "Bounties and information. These are the people I'm keeping an eye on. Some of them will be at your parties, others are in the area. Occasionally I'll be bringing some of them in but for the most part; I'm trying to get their bounties higher. And of course yours. In general these are the people I'll be leaking information to Smoker on. I've got him thinking I'm spying for him." She actually was spying for Smoker but it was more confusing if she said it like that. Showing her hands to not be going for a weapon, she ducked fingers quickly under the yakuta and pulled out another set.

"Certain islands with weaker spots. It's completely outlined. I did my research when Lambo was captain. Obviously you won't be interested in conquering them. I think." Actually she wasn't sure, maybe he was but if he tried to hold longer than a month, the marines would surround him on all sides, cut off suppy lines and Mello was smart enough to know that so probably not. "But the rich nobles, strongholds of any private soldiers and the more poignant weak points to the islands' resources. For now, that's it. But I'm sure we'll be in touch." She hated having to put anything in paper but she didn't like trying to do it on computer in this case. Security was everything.

Mello's eyes studied the papers quickly, listening to Fujiko carefully as his gloved hands moved the papers. He remained silent for a second before he looked at the woman once again. He had no problem on betraying other people, nor cared if someone else like Fujiko did also - hey, her plans, let her do it.
"You said you are working with the marines as a spy, correct?" Mello smirked as he took out a bar of chocolate "I need something from you, and in exchange, I'll give you all the information you need about my next plan" when it was over, of course, which would be at the end of the month. That way she could have a full report on what happened and let Smoker know how amazingly awesome she was at gathering such detailed information.

"Hmn. What is it you want from me?" she asked warily.

"Marines have the best when it comes to weaponry. Most of those are stocked guns that were used or that are probably stocked for something more... dramatic, if that ever happens." Military didn't change much from world to world, and from what Mello has seen, Marines weren't that different from what he knew "I want access to that. While I know it's complicated to get direct access, any information about that would be useful." The man smirked "Do you think you can make it?"

Fujiko grinned, "Easily. Actually the information I gave you on the islands should help with that but I'll see what I can get about sources and caches."

Perfect then. Selling guns wasn't as hard as it looked, as long he had where to get them before reselling. Things coulnd't go better after that, because with the money, looking for corrupt officials who are willing to sell the guns to Mello by themselves it woulnd't be that hard to find. "Good then. I'll be counting on you" as much she'd be counting on him.
