THE AWESOME BIRTHDAY PARTY LOG OF BIRTHDAY AWESOMENESS~

What started out as a ~SURPRISE~ joint birthday party for Usopp and Tamaki has since exploded to include Luffy, Mori, and EVERYONE ELSE WHO HAS A BIRTHDAY IN APRIL AND MAY!! Welcome to the Straw Hat Crew and Company's ships, the Thousand Sunny and the S.S. Haruhi the Second! The party spans both of them and the decorations are designed to reflect the season. Enjoy the beautiful sakura trees that grace each ship's decks, spend time beneath the lanterns and twinkling lights, and come dressed in your best yukata!

There's a banquet fit for a king - or several kings, this is Luffy's party, too, after all - and don't ask how it got there because Sanji still can't cook properly, BUT ENJOY THE FOOD ANYWAY. The dessert table is a sight to behold, there's gotta be at least fifteen cakes on that thing...

So eat, drink, be merry, and most importantly, HAVE FUN!!!

Oh, that was it.

In any case, it would be good payback for the endless teasing he'd been forced to endure, AND Lucci or Sanji wouldn't have to put up with that damned curse.

Without saying another word, Kaku jumped forward and hugged Lucci. He made sure not to let it linger; he didn't want to die THAT quickly!

"Soru!"

Kaku got about twenty feet before an attack stopped him in his tracks.

Lucci was so distracted by his retreating quarry and the spots on his arms that he failed to notice the encroaching attack before it was too late.

"What--" But by the time he got that exclamation out, Kaku was long gone - well, not too long. He glanced from Kaku back to Sanji, staring incredulously and feeling like - oh no, not now--

"You planned this," he snarled, and took a somewhat miscalculated lunge forward before it was too late.

*sends a concerned look Kaku's way but knows Kaku was fully aware of the curse he was taking back, and besides, has FAR MORE PRESSING MATTERS to deal with*

*like a certain pissed off ex-government assassin*

Planned? *gives a stupid, shit-eating grin* Yeah, I guess you could say that--aack! *dodges backwards, going into half-leopard mode somewhat uncontrollably* Hahaha, hell if I'm giving this up that easily, Lucci!

...Sanji looked patently ridiculous as a leopard.

So ridiculous, in fact, that Lucci felt like singing about it.

"You know what this means, of course," he growled, quickly discovering that it was difficult to cut an imposing figure in a yukata. "This means death."

And then, suddenly and without warning - he tried to stop himself, possibly harder than he'd ever tried for anything - Lucci involuntarily launched into a modified reprise of "When This Is Over (I Am Going To Kill You)" complete with ominous background music emanating faintly from nowhere apparent.

Doubled over the deck, Kaku still could hear the ensuing chaos from where he was laying. Despite being in quite a lot of pain, he had to admit that Lucci's rendition of that particular song was far more ominous than his own.

And that was saying quite a lot.

Kaku tried to laugh, but it came out as wheezes instead, and he forced himself to try and stand, gripping the railing tightly.

Certainly, Lucci was more than likely singing it to him as well.

*pretty much just stares at Lucci in complete and total awe that he's actually singing - as creepy and ominous as it may be, at the moment - before doubling over in laughter, clutching at his stomach and practically slapping his knee* Shit, and death equals my own front row performance, does it? HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!

Lucci disliked singing, and he disliked being laughed at. This was not a good moment for him. But eventually the song ended - luckily, it had been a rather short one - and he was left standing mortified and lost for words on the deck with Sanji guffawing at him and Kaku attempting to laugh and cringe on the ground at the same time.

"...I hate you. So very much," he managed, pressing a hand to his face in an attempt to not slay the both of them then and there.

"Fair...enough," Kaku wheezed; he'd actually stopped laughing at this point because, frankly, it was too much to handle. The smile had left his lips, and he'd actually managed to drag himself to his feet, but he was leaning heavily against the railing.

"Kill me later when...I can...ngh...fight back. Otherwise it's..ha...not all that entertaining..."

*also leaning heavily against the railing, though for totally different reasons - mainly that he's only just managing to catch his breath from laughing so hard* *grins brightly over at Lucci* Your voice ain't half bad. Do another one!

*still looking retarded in his half-leopard state*

*Brooke chiming in from where he had been polishing his violin*

Yes please do another one. You're one of the most fun singers I've had to work with in a while. Yohohoho!

"All three of you," Lucci snapped, keeping his voice carefully even through the use of pure willpower, "shut up."

He had the intuition that no amount of sinister eyebrow was going to cause them to quail and apologize.

But while Sanji was busy laughing himself sick, Lucci had the advantage. He lunged again, utilizing every ounce of speed he had to his name.

*chokes off in the middle of his laugh when he sees Lucci coming at him* Oh shit. *jumps back as fast as he can, but finds himself tripping over the stupid cat feet that he hasn't quite gotten used to yet, arms flailing and stalling long enough for Lucci to most likely smack right into him* Gah--!
