NAMI-SAAAAN, ROBIN-CHAAAAAAN!!!! We discovered a vast number of different clubs up and down the strip and the nightlife here is something that should definitely be experienced - would you ladies like to go dancing??

And you other idiots. If you're feeling up to it.

I might do that. If you're sure your fiancé won't take offense.

[identity profile] black-hat-cat.livejournal.com 2009-03-02 06:30 am (UTC)(link)
Good.

You'll have to inform him, by the way, that I have plenty of fun. He just hasn't noticed.

[identity profile] serving-love.livejournal.com 2009-03-02 06:41 am (UTC)(link)
I'll be sure to pass on that joyous bit of news.

And when he asks how I know, I'll tell him you were extremely eager to make me aware of it - and then sit back and watch him pitch a fit.

[identity profile] serving-love.livejournal.com 2009-03-02 07:12 am (UTC)(link)
Heh.

How are you liking Sunny?

[identity profile] black-hat-cat.livejournal.com 2009-03-02 07:26 am (UTC)(link)
Quite a bit, actually. I never got the chance to really look before, but it's a very well-made ship. Having never witnessed Franky do much of anything other than destroy things, I'm both surprised and impressed. Even the areas in which I specialized are better than I could have done.

If you mean how I like being here, I've been enjoying myself more than I expected.

[identity profile] serving-love.livejournal.com 2009-03-02 07:30 am (UTC)(link)
Smartass, you know I meant the second thing. That's good, though. Wait till you've been with us on one of those fucking long stretches at sea with no island in sight - hopefully you won't change your mind.

Are you allergic to anything? Food-wise.

[identity profile] black-hat-cat.livejournal.com 2009-03-02 07:41 am (UTC)(link)
You spoke to Jyabura, correct? Once, years ago, I spent eleven weeks sharing a two-room hut with him on a remote tribal island in South Blue attempting to dissuade the island's upper echelon from using their resources to support the revolution. He was my backup. I was the only one who spoke the language. Trust me when I tell you that any amount of time spent in the company of you people will be vastly preferable, and that if I ever I should grow weary of your protracted company, I will remember those eleven weeks.

No, but I will not eat any fruit that comes in a color it shouldn't.

[identity profile] serving-love.livejournal.com 2009-03-02 07:46 am (UTC)(link)
Eleven weeks with that idiot? Damn. Alright, I believe you.

...Smart. Anything you don't like?

[identity profile] black-hat-cat.livejournal.com 2009-03-02 08:14 am (UTC)(link)
I like most kinds of fish and seafood, most kinds of meat except for pork, most kinds of vegetables that aren't green, but any kind of pepper including green ones, most dairy products that cannot be described as "slimy", any kind of bread that doesn't have crunchy bits in it, and most types of fruit except for bananas because they are squishy and pears because they are a skin full of grit and water.

It was easier to list it the other way around.

Mind you, I will eat anything without complaint as long as it isn't poisoned, but you asked.

[identity profile] serving-love.livejournal.com 2009-03-02 08:16 am (UTC)(link)
...

Figures YOU would be the pickiest eater on board.

And Kaku? Anything I should know about?

[identity profile] black-hat-cat.livejournal.com 2009-03-02 08:22 am (UTC)(link)
I didn't decide my preferences.

He prefers meat, but he isn't picky. He likes to try new things.

[identity profile] serving-love.livejournal.com 2009-03-02 08:24 am (UTC)(link)
Meat. That's an easy one, and something we always have PLENTY of. Alright then, I'll remember all that.

[identity profile] black-hat-cat.livejournal.com 2009-03-02 08:31 am (UTC)(link)
I find myself curious as to whether you keep some sort of list.

[identity profile] black-hat-cat.livejournal.com 2009-03-02 08:58 am (UTC)(link)
I don't know much about what being a chef entails, so it's currently a subject of interest.

[identity profile] serving-love.livejournal.com 2009-03-02 09:07 am (UTC)(link)
Oh. Well I don't know what other pirate chefs do... But it's become sort of second nature for me to just ingrain stuff in my head. Be it a recipe or a shopping list or what my nakama like and don't like.

I do keep an inventory list, though.

[identity profile] black-hat-cat.livejournal.com 2009-03-02 09:22 am (UTC)(link)
I'm not sure that most pirates have chefs. Cooks, yes, but not professionals.

I imagine that it has to be checked regularly with someone like Luffy around.

[identity profile] serving-love.livejournal.com 2009-03-02 09:24 am (UTC)(link)
...Point.

Yeah, like five fucking times a day.

[identity profile] black-hat-cat.livejournal.com 2009-03-02 09:27 am (UTC)(link)
At least you're immune to the pathetic begging face.

[identity profile] serving-love.livejournal.com 2009-03-02 09:32 am (UTC)(link)
The key to that is to shove a foot in his face before he gets very far in making it.

[identity profile] black-hat-cat.livejournal.com 2009-03-02 09:40 am (UTC)(link)
I'll have to remember that.
