...These kittens are getting pretty damn mobile. They're gonna be all over the freaking place soon.

Anyway, why the hell's it so quiet tonight? Even the sea's quiet, there ain't a shitty breeze or nothing. S'weird. Anyone wanna drink or something? I was thinking of...I dunno, making cookies maybe. Possibly. Who knows.

Either way, I'll be in the galley.

Mm. Well. That's a good point. But. I dunno. Last year she forgot about her deathday until it was already past. Maybe it doesn't have to be a HUGE deal. It's fine if she wants to...acknowledge it. I mean. It's important. But it wouldn't be good if it makes her feel worse, either.

Yeah, she told me she wanted to celebrate it. Or...I guess acknowledge is a better word. Can't remember if she wants a cake or something. I should probably ask her.

Well it wouldn't be a FANCY cake, obviously. But she was saying she'd rather celebrate that over her birthday, so I don't think she wanted it to be a day where everyone was being all quiet and awkward. Like we're...I dunno, mourning.

Mm. Maybe you're right. ...yeah, definitely not like that. I just...I guess I'm really not sure what you're supposed to do for a day like that. Brook's the only other person I know who's died, and he doesn't--I'm not even sure exactly when he died. Maybe he isn't either. It's probably not the same, anyway.
