(no subject)

Alright, people, since our numbers on Sunny can't seem to stop going up, I thought I'd update my lists a little.

Anyone allergic to shit I should know about? Favorite foods, things you're not a fan of...anything I should know, feel free to tell me! Especially if you're gonna be hanging around for awhile~

For food, yes.

Sorry, I didn't introduce myself. Percy Jackson. And you?

[identity profile] serving-love.livejournal.com 2010-03-01 09:06 am (UTC)(link)
Guess I could add it to more stuff. Just for the hell of it.

Nah, it's fine. I'm Sanji. Nice to meet you.

[identity profile] sonoftheseadog.livejournal.com 2010-03-01 09:11 am (UTC)(link)
I would definitely approve of that.

So you're a chef?

[identity profile] serving-love.livejournal.com 2010-03-01 02:10 pm (UTC)(link)
You say that like you're even gonna be here eating the food.

Yep, I am!

[identity profile] sonoftheseadog.livejournal.com 2010-03-01 02:50 pm (UTC)(link)
Nah, I just approve of blue food in general.

Sounds cool. I should probably get one of those for my ship.

[identity profile] serving-love.livejournal.com 2010-03-01 02:54 pm (UTC)(link)
Gotta say, I grew up in a restaurant and I've been around people and their varying tastes in food all my life, but this is the first time a preference for blue food has ever come up.

Yeeeah, they're usually a good idea. You have a ship, then? And a crew? I haven't seen you around before. But I also haven't been paying attention lately, so...

[identity profile] sonoftheseadog.livejournal.com 2010-03-01 03:08 pm (UTC)(link)
Well there's a story behind it. My step-dad was kind of an...asshole. And he would order my mom around and stuff. And he used to insist that there was no such thing as blue food. So she started adding blue food coloring to things. To kind of undermine him.

I'm new, but yeah. I just got a ship and I'm getting it fixed up before we officially set sail. And I have a very small crew. There are only four or five of us so far.

[identity profile] serving-love.livejournal.com 2010-03-01 03:19 pm (UTC)(link)
Heh. Your mom sounds kind of awesome, then.

Oh. Well, welcome to the Grand Line, I guess. Pretty impressive you got your own ship so far. But small crews are never a bad thing - you gotta start somewhere, right?

[identity profile] sonoftheseadog.livejournal.com 2010-03-01 03:21 pm (UTC)(link)
She really is.

Thanks. And yeah, I'm not too worried. I could run the ship by myself if I really wanted, I just wanted the company.

[identity profile] serving-love.livejournal.com 2010-03-01 03:32 pm (UTC)(link)
I guess she's not here, huh.

...You could run the ship by yourself? Is it small?

[identity profile] sonoftheseadog.livejournal.com 2010-03-01 03:35 pm (UTC)(link)
...no. She's not. But I'm kind of glad of that. She's mortal and this place is dangerous.

Nah, it's a big ship. I'm just good with boats.

[identity profile] serving-love.livejournal.com 2010-03-01 03:54 pm (UTC)(link)
...And you're not?

Man, you get more interesting with every comment.

[identity profile] sonoftheseadog.livejournal.com 2010-03-01 03:57 pm (UTC)(link)
Half.

Thanks, I'll take that as a compliment.

[identity profile] serving-love.livejournal.com 2010-03-01 04:18 pm (UTC)(link)
Which makes you half...what. God?

I meant it as one.

[identity profile] sonoftheseadog.livejournal.com 2010-03-01 04:45 pm (UTC)(link)
My father is Poseidon. God of the sea, storms, earthquakes, and creator of horses.

[identity profile] serving-love.livejournal.com 2010-03-01 04:50 pm (UTC)(link)
...Well I guess that would explain how you could handle a ship on your own.

Creator of horses - what the hell, random much?

[identity profile] sonoftheseadog.livejournal.com 2010-03-01 04:55 pm (UTC)(link)
Yep. That would be why.

Well...he created them out of sea foam. So it makes a little more sense? Maybe?

[identity profile] serving-love.livejournal.com 2010-03-01 05:09 pm (UTC)(link)
How did you say you got your ship again?

...Yeah, not really. Horses are so...land animals. Or something.

[identity profile] sonoftheseadog.livejournal.com 2010-03-01 05:15 pm (UTC)(link)
I raised it from the ocean floor.

Well yeah, but...look, he just created them out of sea foam. That's what happened. And so I can talk to horses.

[identity profile] serving-love.livejournal.com 2010-03-01 05:29 pm (UTC)(link)
...How did I know it would be something like that... But seriously - that's pretty fucking awesome.

Heh, alright, alright. We've got a couple people on our crew who can talk to animals. What else can you do?

[identity profile] sonoftheseadog.livejournal.com 2010-03-01 05:39 pm (UTC)(link)
It really is.

Well...

When standing or immersed in water, I'm stronger, more skilled, and heal quickly. I can move and control large volumes of water with great force. For example, I can redirect rivers, create currents to push boats, or even make the water's surface firm enough to stand upon. I can breathe underwater. I'm unharmed by depth pressure, or by falling from great height into water. When I'm underwater, I stay dry unless I don't want to be. When I touch objects underwater, they become dry. I can create seawater with no effort with things that used to be in the sea. I can communicate telepathically with sea animals, most of whom also...obey me and treat me with respect. I can communicate with equine animals (horses, zebras, pegasi, etc.), as my father created them out of sea foam; most obey me and treat me with respect, calling me... "lord" or "boss". Which is just...kind of weird. But...anyway. While at sea, I have perfect bearings on my exact coordinates. I can control all parts of boats telekinetically, especially sails. I can sense where objects are underwater. I can communicate with children of Poseidon, such as Cyclopes, underwater. I'm very resistant to burning, can survive even while immersed in magma because of the sense of the ocean inside of me. I can make water appear from nothing, though it takes away most of my energy to do so. I can summon hurricanes, since my father is the god of the sea and storms. I can release the oxygen in water molecules and command the surrounding water to recede, making an air bubble so my friends with non-hydrokinetic abilities can breathe. I can control ocean currents so I can swim underwater at incredibly high speeds. When submerged in water, I can make the water around me like a shield keeping anything unwanted from entering. I can heal minor cuts when inn water, and I also gain a burst of energy.
