Well, I'm a guy again. There's one less bit of insanity to worry about around here.

Has anyone had any luck finding Robin-chan?

Hn. Fire forges stronger steel, I guess. ...Fuck, that was cliche. My sensei used to say it, that's not on me.

...That's unpleasant. N'doesn't seem very efficient.

Ha. Noted.

It was, and it isn't. They had to deal with a lot of injured patients at once, and weren't able to provide personalized care, which amounted to a lot of morphine.

What, was your top secret assassins group understaffed or something? I thought you guys were valuable, why'd you get stuck in the same medical as normal Marines?

[identity profile] black-hat-cat.livejournal.com 2009-12-21 05:03 am (UTC)(link)
We didn't always, but after a rough battle, all the medical teams would be overrun with patients.

[identity profile] strayswordsman.livejournal.com 2009-12-21 05:08 am (UTC)(link)
I thought you guys mostly did covert ops and sneaky stuff.

[identity profile] black-hat-cat.livejournal.com 2009-12-21 05:18 am (UTC)(link)
We did. We also did things like...fight pirates who were storming the gates, for example. Large-scale battles like that were the only time most of us would get seriously hurt.

[identity profile] strayswordsman.livejournal.com 2009-12-21 07:00 am (UTC)(link)
Hm. Yeah, guess I vaguely remember that part of your job.

Didn't it get irritating to be secret all the time? Think I'd go crazy.

[identity profile] black-hat-cat.livejournal.com 2009-12-21 07:02 am (UTC)(link)
No. It took a certain kind of personality; they would only consider people for the position who could handle the strain. Personally, I didn't even realize that not being isolated from society at all times had merits until around a year ago.

[identity profile] strayswordsman.livejournal.com 2009-12-21 08:09 am (UTC)(link)
Ah. "A certain personality." I see...No wonder you were all such weirdos.

That when you joined the crew?

[identity profile] black-hat-cat.livejournal.com 2009-12-21 08:45 am (UTC)(link)
And you're a paragon of normality, are you.

Mmhm.

[identity profile] strayswordsman.livejournal.com 2009-12-21 08:53 am (UTC)(link)
Well, suppose it's kinda uncommon to have green hair. That's the only thing I can think of.

...How did that even happen, anyway?

[identity profile] black-hat-cat.livejournal.com 2009-12-21 09:13 am (UTC)(link)
Not a single thing about you is average, you dolt.

I was asked, and I said yes.

[identity profile] strayswordsman.livejournal.com 2009-12-21 09:27 am (UTC)(link)
Not average, maybe, but I don't have a Devil Fruit or anything, it's just a lot of training. And I'm still not a weirdo like your non-DF people.

...Right. I said no when he first asked. Well, more like he decided I was gonna be his nakama, and I was in denial for a while.

[identity profile] black-hat-cat.livejournal.com 2009-12-21 09:30 am (UTC)(link)
Fine, fine.

...Yes, that's essentially what happened to me. He doesn't so much ask as politely inform you what's going to happen.

[identity profile] strayswordsman.livejournal.com 2009-12-21 09:35 am (UTC)(link)
Mm. That's Luffy for you. Not so bad to be shanghaied, though, huh.

[identity profile] black-hat-cat.livejournal.com 2009-12-21 09:40 am (UTC)(link)
No, it's not so bad at all.
